Howard P. Rawlings Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

The historic Rawlings Conservatory & Botanic Gardens is ideal for weddings, birthday parties, social functions, charity events, receptions and company meetings — whether you need an indoor or outdoor setting for your event. Contact the events coordinator, Laurie Boswell at laurie.boswell@baltimorecity.gov) for availability, rates, and a tour of the facilities.

The outdoor venue is lush with flowers, and the gardens feature perennials and annuals splashed with beautiful colors throughout the spring and summer seasons. Indoors, there are five distinctive greenhouse settings, including the original Palm House from 1888, the Orchid Room, Mediterranean House, Tropical House and Desert House. All are complete with walkways and secluded benches, and provide a picturesque setting for wedding and family photographs.

Two display pavilions, each with a seating capacity of 48 guests, are perfect for receptions. The spacious lawns are available for tenting. You can choose which setting is best suited for your wedding ceremony.

The Conservatory can comfortably accommodate guests at the facility year-round while enjoying the wonderful views
of the gardens. Tables and chairs are available for rental. The entire property can be yours to enjoy for the day and evening.
